Try-on data enriches the customer profile
Try Before You Buy works directly as a conversion tool on your product page. Add Sero CDP and try-on behavior becomes an intent signal: which products did a customer virtually try on but not purchase? CDP stores this and links it to retargeting, emails, and personalized recommendations.
Customer virtually tries on 3 glasses but does not buy
CDP captures intent signals:
Klaviyo email sent with the 3 appropriate models + 10% limited-time discount
VIP customer fits furniture in room
Shopping Assistant triggered:
"Can I help you with styling advice for this space?"
Try Before You Buy FAQ
Does Try Before You Buy work on all devices?
Try Before You Buy works on all modern smartphones via the mobile browser, without customers needing to download an app. A 360-degree product viewer is available on desktop. The AR try-on is optimized for iOS and Android, with camera access via the browser.
For which product categories is AR most effective?
AR visualization is most effective for products where fit or placement is crucial: glasses and sunglasses, clothing and shoes, furniture and home decor, and jewelry. For these categories, customers show an average of 40% higher purchase intent and 23% fewer returns.
How does Try Before You Buy integrate with my online store?
Integration is done via a JavaScript snippet that you add to your product page template. Sero provides ready-to-use plugins for Shopify and WooCommerce. For custom platforms, the technical team provides an integration manual. Average implementation time: one business day.
What if a customer does not grant camera access?
The try-on then automatically switches to a 3D product viewer where the customer can view the product from all angles. This means customers without camera access still get a richer product experience than a standard product photo.
